The Good
I love the way "The Course of Nature" starts. It builds up a little
bit then gets right into business. The guitar at the front is really intriguing
to hear and will peak the listeners interest. In the same track, the singing
is something else I am fond of. The vocals have just enough edge to give
it that "old" like feel. You will think you’re listening
to a younger Iron Maiden or something. Still on the same song, the guitar
solo on here is striking.
"Ego Painted Grey" provides some singing
that is moving and it gave me a relaxing feel. Once again the guitar solo
in this track is something to look out for. It was exciting as it can be.
I was just impressed with the musical appearance of this song; it's something
that is really grand. "Salvation: Suicide" is another thrilling
track that I adore the music work in. The chorus of this track lets out
good song flow and the guitar solo in this one is my favorite out of them
all,
as it is mind-blowing. On the track "The Voice Commanding You," it
has a good hook in the song.
The Bad
I feel as though "Breaking Ties" was just too restful to be on
here. Some of the listeners out there may enjoy it, but I didn't.
The Verdict
This album was grand from start to finish. I enjoyed most of it and will
more than likely play it again. The vocals fit in with the music and are
good to listen to, but let’s face it; this album is musically driven
100%. The drums are pounding, the bass is thundering, and the guitars are
just astonishing. I also love the stupefying solos included in the songs
as well, it makes for a great listen. I raise my horns to this album right
here!
Did You Know?
The album title comes from Thomas Aquinas' medieval book with the same name.
