What's the 4-1-1?
12 song, value collection of White Zombie and Rob Zombie solo favorites.
Genre
Hard rock / industrial / metal
The Good
The price – maybe.
The Bad
This collection is a half-assed rehashing of Rob Zombie’s 2003 hits
collection Past, Present, and Future. With this collection, nine
songs have been removed and two songs from Zombie’s 2006 album Educated
Horses (“The Devil’s Rejects” & “The
Lords of Salem”)
are added. It’s a little early to be adding that material don’t
you think? Besides if you’ve heard that album, you know that they’re
no hits. I’m pretty sure that "American Witch" and "Foxy, Foxy" were
the two singles released from that album anyway. Doesn’t really make
sense they weren’t the ones included. The standard fair is included
from the group and solo areas, but the missing tracks are the covers and
rarities
that were included on the prior collection. Also included in the prior collection
that is missing here is a DVD of 10 videos (unless of course you get this
collection at a particular chain electronics store – although you don’t
get as many videos.
The Verdict
For a buck or two more, you’re better off snagging Zombie’s Past,
Present, and Future collection. You’ll get seven more songs, all the
videos, and besides; the songs from Educated Horses are forgettable anyway.
Did You Know?
Rob Zombie will be re-making the 1977 horror classic Halloween.
