What’s the 4-1-1?
Finnish death metal band Mors Principium Est releases Liberation=Termination.

Genre
Melodic death metal

The Good
The album begins with a quick intro and then quickly gets into the eye of the storm so to speak. "The Oppressed will Rise" expresses some maturely written riffs from every instrument. The vocals throughout this album are really unique and it adds a touch to the songs. "Finality" provokes great guitar melodies in the entire song and is probably the most melodic on the album. "Cleansing Rain" shows off some amazing precise drumming, which really impressed me (being a drummer myself). The track "Sinners Defeat" explodes with some killer guitar licks and drum beats. By far the most technical song on the album in my view. "The Distance Between" brings out some good music.

The Bad
"The Animal" starts oddly and doesn't keep a good pace like the other songs. That is my only complaint.

The Verdict
This album was impressive, highly impressive I should say. It really shocked me seeing as I didn't know what to expect and thought it would be just an average album. Oh how I was wrong; this album is everything you would expect from a technical metal band. The guitar riffs are edgy and cunning, the drumming is done pretty much perfectly, and the vocals are great. All of that blended together can only mean one thing...one extraordinary album.

Did You Know?
Mors Principium have released three demos and three albums throughout their career so far.

Rating: out of 5
