It's been 25 years since Night Ranger burst onto the melodic rock scene
with their signature brand of over-the-top melodies highlighted by twin-blazing
guitars (get used to that term), accented by catchy songwriting. Night Ranger
were far more than "Sister Christian." It may have escaped your mind, but
Night Ranger knew how to rock too. "Don't Tell Me You Love Me," "The Secret
of My Success," (You Can Still) Rock in America," and "When You Close Your
Eyes" were all mainstays on rock radio and MTV back in the eighties.
Although Night Ranger disbanded in the latter end of the video music era,
they reunited in the late nineties, released several studio albums, and still
tour year after year. Night Ranger's 2008 release is Hole In The Sun,
an album that features a balance of the band's trademark rockers and ballads.
New band members help recharge the group as they draw closer to their fourth
decade of still rocking in America.
