The Good
Past relationship mistakes and learning from them is what the acoustic heavy
"I Came Around" is about. Amie has such a sweet melody and tone to her voice.
Keeping with the same theme, Amie recalls her past love affair with "Pictures."
The lyrics are quite relatable since we've all looked at old pictures and
remembered the good and bad of a past love. Aime decides to move on with
"Band New." Sultry vocals and killer acoustic guitar picking set the tone.
The chorus is quite catchy, even though it's more an anthem for women.
"Snow" is a beautiful piano ballad. "Grey" has a nice bounce and groove
to it. "Beauty of Goodbye" goes back to the piano sound, but is enhanced
with more emotion and instrumentation. Aime brings her vocal range up higher
for "Drifter," and still nails an enchanting melody. "Hey" is simply powerful
on an emotional level as Aime pours her heart out.
The Bad
Nothing
The Verdict
Sure, comparisons could be made to KT Tunstall, but Miriello leaves her in
the dust. Tunstall had one good song at best, on I Came Around, Mirello has
eleven
solid tracks full of emotions we can all relate to on some level. Aime's
upbeat tracks blend well with the heartfelt ballads, and the music is always
interesting and enjoyable.
