1. If I knew absolutely nothing about Heavenly, how would you describe the group’s music to me?
-- Heavenly is a speed melodic metal band. For us, the “perfect” album should be a mix of big rhythm guitars, very loud and strong and also a lot of melody with different ways of emotions. So that's what we want to do with our music. We do not have a sole message to diffuse, our lyrics deal with a lot of every day’s life themes. Our influences are very vast, from Queen to Judas Priest throwing Stratovarius and Helloween. Well, today, I think the most important for us is to take pleasure and to bring it to the listeners.

2. If I were to buy your new album Virus, what songs should I pay particular attention to and why?
-- I think this depend of your mood! I mean it can be different, for some people it could be “Spill blood on fire” because it’s a catchy song and easy to listen, for others “The dark memories” because it’s an aggressive and powerful song, well Heavy metal. So Virus contains nine individual tracks which deal with different themes, like war, nervous breakdown, poverty on one hand and on an other hand wish or liberty. Well, you can make your own choice.

3. When and where did the band form, and where did the name come from? -- I met Maxence Pilo in 1994 and we decided to form our first band, we worked together few years and wrote our first demo which gave us the possibility to make a deal with Noise Record in 1999 and record our first album "Coming from the sky" which has been available in 2000.

4. What was your worst on stage experience? What was your best?
-- Well, I think our worst and best stage experience were at the same gig, the first show of Virus tour in Paris. It was the best moment because of the audience which was crazy and warm, well an exciting moment. And the worst is that at the end of the show, it was time for us to go back in backstage but the door was locked and we needed a code to get in, so we were in front of the audience on the stage… anyway, a true Spinal Tap scene. Everybody laugh!!!

5. Do you think that the Internet (whether it be Internet radio, legal downloading, MySpace, streaming audio, etc.) is a good tool for musicians or is it a bad thing because it hinders profits?
-- I see this point from two aspects. On one hand, we can't deny that downloading is a good tool to promote a band. I'm sure that a lot of people all over the world would have never known that band or that band without downloading, and I also know that the cd price is expensive too so sometimes it's hard to buy four or five albums the same month. And on an other hand, there's a business behind. Nowadays, if you want to make a good album, it needs a lot of money, and by downloading, bands and labels loose too much money, and less and less they can't pay for the high production cost to make albums. And so, I think if you still want to listen to albums of quality (with good production, sound...) it's important to buy albums. But once again, my point of view balance and my opinion may be mitigated...
